BRINGING IN THE BIRDS

Consultation and Installation

Our local Audubon Society president, Debbie Shetterly will walk your gardens and advise you on what native plants you can add to your landscape that would bring in more birds.  Bug Lovers and Flower Moon Nursery, two regional nurseries that specialize in native plants, have provided gift certificates for you to choose some plants you would like. And last but not least... John Dwyer and Rachel Knoepfel of Magna Silva who specialize in native plant landscaping will add those plants to your land!

Jesse by Jack Hamrick.jpg

JESSE

Oil Painting by Jack Hamrick

Local artist Jack Hamrick has generously donated his beautiful rendition of "Jesse", the bronze statue that sits in front of the Blowing Rock library. We hope you will come bid on this wonderful piece of Blowing Rock history and support the future of gardening and landscaping in Blowing Rock.

Half of all proceeds will go to the horticulture committee to support our work to bring more native perennials into the Blowing Rock landscape and the other half will go towards a new statue that we are commissioning for the garden.

This was our first year and we had a mini snafu in part of our coordination. We think we might be missing a couple of donors, so if you belong on this list or if we missed you and you would like to donate next year, please contact us.
